Privacy Policy

TasteBud Trivia ("we", "us") makes a mobile trivia app for date night.
This page explains what information the app collects and how it's used.
Information we collect
- Account info: the name and email address you provide when you sign up, or your name/email/profile ID from Google if you use "Sign in with Google."
- Password: stored as a salted hash, never in plain text. We cannot see or recover your actual password.
- Gameplay data: the dates you create or join, your answers and scores, and your date history, so the app can show your past games.
- Support requests: if you contact support, we keep the name, email, and message you send us.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers, and we do not use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account, and keep you signed in.
- To run the core game: matching players on a shared date code, recording scores, and showing history.
- To respond to support requests.
- To protect the service from bots and abuse, using Cloudflare Turnstile (a bot-check that runs in your browser/app and does not track you across other sites).
Sharing
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that make the app work:
- Cloudflare — hosts our backend and data storage.
- Google — if you choose "Sign in with Google," for authentication only.
- Stripe — only if/when you manage a paid subscription; Stripe handles payment details directly, we never see your card number.
Your choices
You can delete your account and its data at any time from the app's account settings, or by
contacting support. Deleting your account removes your profile and date
history from our systems.
Children
TasteBud Trivia is intended for adults planning dates and is not directed at children under 13.
